MARKETING THEN AND NOW
There is this thing called "marketing" and to build a business you have to do it. It has been around for decades.. but each decade is different in the ways they did it or had to do it. Back in the old days if you wanted to make money off of something or let people know about your business you had to just stand on the streets or do down to the local markets. As the years went on Television and computers were invented which helped a lot but not everyone had that luxury. You still had to market locally but if you wanted your business known you were willing to pay the money to have commercials or billboard for people to see.
Back in the 90's they didn't have it very easy. It was very straight forward. If you wanted your business seen you put it in the newspaper, billboards, television or in the mail. Luckily, marketing has changed a lot since then. Now you multiple ways to get your business out there. Don't let that fool you though. They still have issues! Even though marketers have a wide spread of advertisement opportunities they still have to make sure their message comes off correctly and at the right time to draw peoples attention.
Marketing has gotten broader but its always been something you have to put full effort into too thrive. Business owners or future business owners, always remember that.
